I play ragtime, and am cutting a little 'friends and family' CD of ~20 Joplin pieces. I should be done by June; wouldn't mind a little feedback, if you're interested in listening.
Aged 11, I will need to practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We seem to share some interests!
you are good at what you do
Cool page and take a look at mine and sign guest book!
Your page is well organized congratulations
Rag Fest is Sedalia MO, huh? Don't know much about rag (except for Arlo Guthrie singing Ring Around Rosie Rag). Your MIDI files are just the thing to bring me up to speed.

Nice page! I play piano too.
This page is GREAT! I finally know how some of the songs in my book of completel works of Scot Joplin are supposed to be played. I've tried to practice them, but I never heard them being played. So I'm coming back here whenever I need to learn a new piece. Thanks so much, for all the effort you put into this site. It's well worth it for me, I hope it is for you too!
I find your music soothing and wish I could load it to my off line files for relaxing listinging while working
your informstion was da bomb!
Nice
I am 8 1/2 years old and I really enjoy listening to the MIDI files of Scott Joplin. My Dad played me the Entertainer one day and I likd it so I asked him who that was. We went to Yahoo to find some sites about Scott Joplin. We found your page and have come back many times to listen to the different songs by Scott Joplin. Thank you for taking time to make this site so that people like me can learn about the music of Scott Joplin
NICE SITE!
.
I'LL BE BACK TO CHECK ON YOU YOUR PROGRESS. I'VE JUST BEGUN MY TREK INTO MIDI LISTENING AND APECIATE THE WORKS YOU'VE DONE ROB
I Love the Maple Leaf Rag
Yes its me again, I don't know what happened there I sent it without realising it had gone. The jist of what I was trying to say was that there are still not enough performers of Joplin coming through and one day his music may fade out- I was just going to wish anyone like myself who has the intention of spreading some of Joplin's lesser known music such as Solace, Gladiolus Rag (but still magnificent music) the very best of luck. It would be a real shame to see his legacy die!
This site is one of the best Joplin sites I have visited! I have no idea how you managed to have the patience to create all those MIDI files! I wish my ragtime files were as well put together as those!
Great site. I inherited a taste for this style music from my father. Like almost all forms of music, but Rag and Classical is my favorite, with appreciation for early "rock-and-roll."
Looking for help
No comments yet. I'm just looking.
Marvelous job. Congratulations. Never give up. Keep the pace. Once again, congratulations and thank you very much for giving us such a site
I really enjoyed your site. I downloaded the midi clips for future enjoyment. Scott Joplin has always been one of my favourite jazz musicians. I played "The Entertainer" at one time. Don't play anymore due to arthritis. I also got into Swing Band music later on. I enjoy that too.
Always interested in Ragtime. It is the real soul music!!
I really do enjoy your website. Keep it up. You make people happy, probably without knowing it.
I really enjoyed your page it sure brought some joy in my life. I'm a big fan of Scott Joplin. I can sit and listen to his songs and never get tired of them. We all owe him credit and the respect that he deserved for all he put into music that made the world see different

Thanks so much for including the sheet music along with the MIDI files. I play the piano pretty much by ear, so being able to hear and SEE the music will be a great help to me. Thanks again. Phil
I'm very impressed that a person your age (judging by the picture on your Home Page) would have such an interest in such an old form of music as ragtime. Thanks for making Scott Joplin's collection easily available to us out here in rural America. Also, a particular thank you for your use of the .pdf files and the like to the Acrobat Reader. I've already downloaded the "Fig Leaf" and "The Easy Winners". Thanks again.
Thanks for creating this page. I am a real Joplin fan and I love to see how people play his music. I recommend maybe adding some original ornimental "drags" Once again it's one of my favorites. Keep the MIDI's Coming!
Thanks for your presentation, as a friend of this genere, I appreciate your population of the pleasures of 'Rag"
Thanks for the convenient "all files" MIDI download! It was very fast, and I'm looking forward to hearing them!!!!
We loved your site.We chose it because one of our children's teachers asked them to find out about Scott Joplin. Thank you very much for taking the time to create such a wonderful learning spot.
I'm Claire's Aunt. She told me about you two last November and I decided that since you wanted to marry my niece, I had better check you out. So I am. O.K.
Haven't gotten to the midi files yet but will doso now.
Lookin' good.
Hi Jeff. Enjoyed visiting your website. My hobbies are computing, playing the elctronic keyboard, organ and accoustic piano. I studied at Newark Technical College (UK) and gained a Diploma in Piano Tuning Maintenace and Repairs but to lack of work and recession in UK I am forced tp work in a Wharehouse. Never mind. Sorry but I have to sign off now. Mike Gisbourne. Mike Gisbourne.
Hi - it's fun to listen to piano rags on the laptop. I was looking for downloadable tunes.
.
You got anything on the song- The Entertainer- by Scott Joplin
I think that your website is a wonderful tribute to scott joplin and ragtime music. semper fi to this genre. it was a pleasure to visit. thanks.
I am browsing around, becaurse I am looking for a cd-rom play " crazy of ragtime, where I am getting some more knowlege og time og rag, I do play my self, and right now I play Fred S. Stone, I think it is great that you have made this page.
Great site. Great service. I have been a great fan of Joplin since I first heard his music back in the early 70's. I consider him one of America's great composers. His Treemonisha has some of the most beautiful music in opera...although I must admit the libretto is a bit smaltzy...but then again, so is Verdi. 🙂 Keep up the great work...more people should know about Scott Joplin. JO
Thanks for the MIDI
I enjoyed listening to your ragtime midi files. Thanks for sharing them. I know it takes a long time to make them. I just bought some music software to make sheet music. I am learning how to use it. It plays midi files from the sheet music. Keep up the good work.
I truly believe that this is the best site I've ever found on the net. You have a lot of talent and should pursue amusical career if you don't already have one. Good luck with future music sequences.
Thanks. I was doing a report on Scott Joplin and this site was fun.
I just found you and am enjoying the music very much.
Thanks for the wonderful version of The Entertainer. It is wonderful. One of my favorite songs that also happens to be from one of my favorite movies, The Sting.
Nice lively site. Also visit the Clitheroe Royal Grammar School UNofficial website at the above address now for a good laugh!
Thanks,Keep his memory alive.
I love Scott Joplin.
I love your page! I am an adult piano student and use your page frequently to listen to the pieces I'm learning to play. I just finished Solace and Maple Leaf Rag. It is great fun! Thanks for your help.
I play ragtime piano at the Maple Leaf Club meetings and Rose Leaf Club meetings, last Sunday every month, in Pasadena, CA. Am collecting as much ragtime piano sheet music as possible, hopefully the original versions, not "dummied down" simplified or "popularized" arrangements. This is a great project you have here. Hope you can keep it up longer. -- Nancy
