I sell Reproduction Victorian Paper goods at the De Anza College Flea Market in Cupertino, CA. We bring CDs and Tapes and play music for our own pleasure and if the public enjoys it so much the better. We ALWAYS get questions and/or favorable comments when we put on our Scott Joplin tape and we notice that people stay in our booth longer. How fortunate for us that Claire came by today, told us about her wonderful, talented, Ragtime Playing Husband and gave us the web address.I'm tired, sunburned, put my back out and didn't make much money today -BUT I consider this day a total success because of having access to this wonderful music! Thank you Thank you!! I've just sent the link to everyone I know!

Thank you so very much. I play the piano a lot including some Scott Joplin. I have the music book from the New York Library but I am not a good enough sight reader to find any new pieces to play outside of recordings which are quite incomplete. Now I can hear them all and learn any I like. My favorites so far are: Maple Leaf, Entertainer, PineApple, Easy Winners and Rose Leaf rags. Bless you and your wife.

Huy! Scott Joplin is the King of ragtime music. I have his complete works at home which I often play on the Piano. Almost every day! I can play most of his compositions and I am learning the few that are left to play! Here are the rags that I play most frequently:Original RagsMaple Leaf RagSunflower Slow DragThe Easy WinnersPeacherine RagThe EntertainerElite SyncopationsSomething DoingThe Cascades (One of my favourites! Especially in the C section with the grande moving full octave chord movements deviating in each hand!)LeolaEugeniaThe Ragtime Dance (The rag and the stage dance)Searchlight Rag (Another favourite!)Gladiolus Rag (Another favourite! Again with the complex chord movements in each hand)Heliotrope BouquetFig Leaf RagPineapple Rag (One of the best ever composed!)Country ClubEuphonic SoundsParagon RagStoptime Rag (An absoloutely fantastic rag!)Felicity RagScott Joplin's New RagKismet RagMagnetic Rag (Brilliant!)Reflection RagLily QueenCleophaThe ChrysanthemumHis music is fantastic and I don't really think I could put a finger on a favourite I have because they are all great but if I had to.. probably something like the Cascades or Stoptime Rag. Please do send me e-mails to discuss Scott Joplin's music as he is worth discussing! The site is great and I love listening to his music aswell as playing it on the Piano.
