Wow! Great site, I downloaded all of the Joplin files. The music is great. Thanks
Thanks for the great site, Jeff. I also play piano and am a fan of Scott Joplin. I'm sure I will revisit this site often.
.
None that I can think of, but I hope that you have a good day!
Browsing for Scott Joplin because my son is learning to play "the Entertainer for his Grade Three Piano and came across your page. Only using a text based browser so can't comment on the graphics. I'll be back again...
Found your page on a link from Dick Johnson, Ludlow, PA. What a great site! I loved the Joplin music...it reminded me of the first time I saw The Sting. My husband and his brother in Montana trade MIDI files, but it is mostly classical stuff. Keep up the great music! Your music has brightened a dark Halloween night!
Nice page Jeff. You have a pretty complete collection of Scott Joplin rags here.
Thank you for making these midi files available
I have written a one man show based on the life of Scott Joplin where I become Joplin and play and sing and tell the story of my life in narrative. I like to perform it whenever I can and if you know of any venues that might like to see it you may contact me as I am listed in the New York telephone directory. Thank you for having a page about Scott Joplin.

Pretty Nice MIDI source. I am looking for "Moonlight Seranade" by Glenn Miller (Big Band). Not a Ragtime, biut a favorite nonetheless! If you know where I can find it let me know! Thanks!
Hi Jeff! I´ve been learning how to play Scott Joplin for five years now and I´m having a great time doin´ it. I´ve just connected to Internet and look what I found! Thank´s Jeff!!! You´ll be hearing from me agiain, be so sure. Right now, I have a date with Joplin at Steinway & Son´s. If you can find the time, I would be glad if you mailed me and told me a bit about how you work with the rags. Your newborn friend - Michael...
Haven't had much of a look 'round yet, but so far I LOVE the Rags! Pat
Have enjoyed ragtime since I was a small child...

From Compton, CA orig-for last 25 yrs Newbury Park,CA(thousand Oaks). Terrific page & your tastes are similar to mine, but younger!
I taught myself to read music about ten years ago and learned a few songs on the piano. Really enjoy Scott Joplin's music and was going to get a book. With this on the internet, however, I won't even need to go downtown. Thanks for putting this together.
.
Keep up the good work. Thank you.

My comments to the next visit to yr.page. Thanks Charlie
I'm a beginner with MIDI -- and no musician, either. But it looks like I'm going to get a lot of help from your pages. I look forward to coming back again (and again).
Excellent site. We are fans of ragtime and all types of music. Thanks for all the hard work.
Some days ago I connect to Internet. I glad to find very much information about ragtime. I like this music. Thank you for it!

I need to hear your midi files on Joplin before I comment. Nice looking site.
I R E A L L Y enjoyed listening to some very fine music while browsing your site. I really this is dedicated to ragtime - however, I would like a lead to locating some good march music ala - John Phillips Sousa. And one song I keep searching for done in a good piano flourish is --- Under the Double Eagle. Will keep looking back. Thanks. Don d
Really enjoy ragtime - Hard to find good renditions. Keep up the good work! Carl

I think your Ragtimepage is absolutely excellent!! I can t understand how you have managed to collect all of these midi files! Then my question is, can I get all of your midi files sent to me in some way? You see, it s taking me hours to download each and one of them! I would like every one of them! Do you have other types of music in midi-files I would dearly have them too! Just E-mail me in the address: tsolli@sn.no and tell me if I can get all of them in one package. For now, thank you very much for a really nice page and I ll be waiting an answer soon. Tom André Solli
My dad's name is Steve Troxel, he lived in Denver, Colorado for a long time. It's funny to find another Steve Troxel
Only two words: very good work and thank you.
Thanks for the collection of Midi files... I'm doing an informal (private) study of Sousa's style and the influence he may have had on Joplin. They share a number of similar styles...
Italian speaking, though I work also in San Clemente CA. I also like much boogie woogie: Meade Lux Lewis, Pete Johnson, Pinetop Smith. Have you looked into that? I can play Honky Tonky Train Blues reasonably well.
This is an excellent site! When I was a teenager (39 now), I use to play some of Joplin's rags on the piano (that was a challenge because I wasn't a natural pianist - I had to work at it) and bought all the albums I could. At that time, the New England Conservatory Ragtime Ensemble was at the top of my list. I must admit that Joplin's music isn't as big a part of my life now that it use to be but that doesn't reduce it's significance (I find some of his melodies going through my mind at unexpected times!) I downloaded your whole zipped file. Thanks again and would like to hear from you. Andre
Thanks for the music, I am in the process of trying to restore two player pianos, These tunes should give some entertainment until the're done.
Originally from NY. Working in Pakistan with JUNOON - SufiRock Band. Great Page! You can't get any Joplin over here. No Rags, only Raags. Thanks. Brian
very very GOOD!!!
It's my first time here - I'll be back - more comments then Thanks Bruce D.
So far your site looks great
I think that it is great that you are keeping the ragtime alive. Keep it up. I am only 14 and I love Scott Joplin and James Scott. They are my favorites. Your friend if ever needed, John.
Nice music. I have been playing Joplin tunes for about 5 years. Thanks for letting me enjoy the music on your site.
I was very greedy with your talent. Am a collector of S.Joplin midis, and I replaced many of present with your versions. I do not play but love the rags. Thank you so much!
Nice to find a nearly comprehensive collection of Scott Joplin and other Rag artists. I mainly like them to get a feel for how they are supposed to sound so I can kind of get them right on my piano. Also like just listening to them. Thanks
This is the first time im' trying to download some files... Thank you !
Thank goodness, someone put some Scott Joplin on the web. Thank-you--shall visit often.
Tried to download a few, but you must have had a lot of visitors at the time. I'm Anxious to hear your work.

Great midi page! Really appreciate the work you have done
I downloaded all your rags. They're excellent, although I think that March Majestic has a mistake chord. They've taught me a lot about how to play Joplin's rags. Thank you!
Great Page. I haven't tried your zip files yet but can't wait to sign off and do so.

Just found the midi pages on the web and am having a blast. Thanks for the work you've done compiling these pieces for novices like me. With the weather like it's been today, I feel like I'm in southern California. Later, Bill.

You are one of my "great finds" when I first started playing around on the net last September. I'm addicted to Scott Joplin, and play your MIDI files often. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thanks for sharing Joplin rags!
Thanks for all your help!
Long time Savoyard with the Durham Savoyard LTD Durham NC. Have done 13 of the cannons. Moved to Tampa FL where the G&S if any is very closed and not new comer friendly. So I go back to Durham once a year to help with the annual production. Wife also has been involved as Producer, Tech Director, set designer and realizer. Dan & Harriet
Excellent MIDI Page!
I love Joplin's music, eversince I first heard it on "The Sting" which was my first chance of watching an American movie on American soil. That was way back 1973 when I visited New York on a fellow ship for the United Nations. In short, Joplin's music reminds of of the nice time I had while living in your beautiful country. Don't be lonely. Regards.
Great Idea. Thank you for dragging ragtime into the present, MANY more people should know about this vital early american musicform.
I enjoy your site....am new to internet ... love joplin music .. I tried to master complete works once! Thanks for your GREAT contribution!
I think I'll browse for a while - thanks for having these pages.

Found your page very entertaining, my interests are more to THEATRE pipe organs, however there is an interest in mechanical instruments as well. I havent the time that I would like to devote to the hobby, but do fool around when I can. We have a 3/8 Morton in town here and that is fun. I am 53 years old and currently finishing (3 more yesrs) up a 35 od year military carer in communications electronics.

I like Joplin very much, so I appreciate you being here!
