Don't really call anywhere home wrote: Trying to find some pieces to have played at my wedding reception. This is kind of nice that you have this set up so that I don't have to go and buy CDs of music I haven't heard. This way I can pick music from the list they gave me. But I is likin' what I hear and during a study break tomorrow, I might go buy me some Joplin muzack. Thanx John jnewberr@marlin.utmb.edu

Scott Joplin is my favorite. Have a complete CD collection that I play non-stop while computing as well as a bound sheet music collection which I play whenever I sit down at the piano. Great MIDI collection you've assembled....I downloaded the zip file of all 59. THANKS!!!

You have an excellent Website, and a fine collection.
Thanks Jeff I'm a guitar player working some of these out ! Fret
I am fairly new at this and hope to learn more. Your pages are terrific!!!!!
Thank you for all your hard work. There was a PBS show on joplin (I think). Would be nice to have some clips from that, and links to other sites if any with bio or other material.
This place is really fantastic! I am a Scott Joplin's fan, I like to play his music. Thanks
Love your Midi Files. I'm a Bass player in a band by the name of Tequila Showband. Thanks!!!!!
Thank you for your reaction to my Midi-question. I continue to search the web for the files I mentioned. At this moment I am working on a project to record piano Midi files together with an amateur pianist, who luckily owns a silent Grand Piano, so may be one day we'll have some files available. Your Web-page is very interesting. All the best to you and your family! Henk
i am learning the piano and want to start playing the entertainer and some other rag time songs. thank you for your music clips

...nice page ...great Joplin midi's
Fantastic music and was so thrilled to find the page. Now I play Scott Joplin while working at the computer.
Thank you so much for this resource. I am a film composer. I am currently composing a score for a Disney movie that takes place in 1899. The main character writes a piece in the style of the day. Your page has helped me determine what dates rags were popular. Thanks again!!!!!

Any other information you have of Scott Joplin would be greatly appreciated. I am research him for my African American Music class as my final report.
LETS GET DINNER
Thanks for all the good work, it is a very nice collection.
Please to be your neighbor. I'm "taocat" living two blocks next to you.
No suggestions yet, as I'm first time here and yet not heard the midi files. But it seems a nice place 🙂
Great Stuff!
Thanks for making all this music available!
It´s a very good music. I search it, to print notes and then we play it with my accordion - group. Best wishes and greetings from a rainy Germany. Karl !!
Sent you an e-mail. I love the music and it is nice to know someone is doing something about keeping it alive. Thanks.
Enjoy your dedication to Scott Joplin. I use your MIDI to have background music. Jeff do you know anything about piano rebuilding? I've recently gotten involved with the restoration of a baby grand for our church and after refinishing the case discovered we need to fabricate and install a new pinboard. Looking for all the information I can garner before tackling the job. Keep up the good work. Bill Dunham (My age = 65)

Jeff, I've seen your stuff on various Ragtime websites and finally got around to dropping in for a visit. Keep up the good work and please get on with the James Scott stuff. Joplin's tracks are relatively easy to find. Anyways, I'll be back often. Don

Nice sight! I was helping my son with a report on Jopin and came across your page. I really enjoy the music and only wish you had a little more history on him. Keep up the great work!
wrote: Great site! I haven't been able to figure out how to download the files yet, but love Joplin and will try again later. The background music plays fine for me though......
Your Joplin MIDI File Archive is a great service to mankind.
I haven't really browsed it yet, but as long as it has some info on Scott Joplin I'm happy. So far it looks good!
I like your page, Jeff. I only have one bad comment... none of your MIDIs will play for me. It says it is the unregisterred copy. For all the ones I've tried. You see, I play the piano, and I like Scott Joplin's works. I'm playing the Entertainer for a play and I was hoping to hear if I had the full version of it in my books. If I don't, I could probly get another book, but why go through all the trouble if I already have it? I would appriciate it if you would e-mail me and give me any MIDI sites that might have "The Entertainer". ~PS~Cool Site!

Thank you for doing what you have done. It's hard to imagine a good reason for ragtimes being ignored by just about everyone.Dick Hymen recorded a 5 record collection of Joplin's complete works (on vinyl RCA). Do you know if it might be re-released?
.
A Nice Page
Love the music and your presentations of it
I am probably the world's greatest ragtime fan. I love your site and will bookmark it. Thanks.

don´t know - still learning to know more about Internet. I like music you play hi
Thanks for maintaining the collection of Scott Joplin
Great Site. Do you have any other MIDI files other than Scott Joplin. I am specifically looking for two songs and would appreciate it if you have them or you could please tell me where I might find them. Song 1 - A Ragtime Version of the song 42nd Street. Song 2 - The Theme song from the Turner Movie "Gettysburg" I wouldn't want this to be Ragtime, just a nice quality MIDI file would be nice.
ITS REALLY GREAT TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD YOUR MIDI FILES. YOU'VE JUST GOT WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR. THANKS A LOT.
Had a book report to complete on Scott Joplin. Your information made it possible to finish on time. Thanks!
Looking forward to hearing some classy Scott Joplin - thanks.

I'm a working musician here in Oz. Play trumpet in jazz and swing bands, ragtime and classical piano at home for fun, and banjo or guitar if they let me!
