Just wanted to tell you that I'm trying to learn some joplin on guitar and yours was by far the best site. It was a one- stop shop and I appreciate you.

Sorry for the incomplete entry before, I'm still getting used to the keyboard on my new 'puter and for some reason "enter" gets in the way when I try to "shift" with my right hand. The site is a worthwhile endeavor on your part. Very fine work. I was led here by a link from Eutychus@aol.com

I'm glad to find your site. I'm a native Missourian so am quite familiar with Sedalia, but confess wasn't that much up on Scott Joplin until I saw "The Sting." Have been a ragtime fan ever since and count Molly Kaufmann (a great ivory tickler in her own right) and a very good friend. I certainly enjoy your MIDI files. Keep up the good work.

I'll be at West Coast Ragtime Festival. I saved Peacherine. It was the first rag I heard in modern context on a classic music FM station. It reminded me of the music I'd heard long ago and forgoten.

I've been a Scott Joplin fan ever since I first saw the Sting and play almost all of his published rags. I've even been to the Scott Joplin Festival in Sedilia Mo. And I've used a sequencing program to make my own midi files of his music. Glad to see someone else is doing the same and making it available on the net. Love James Scott's music as well.

Liked your page and will come back to it. I got to it looking for information on my uncle's composition "Danger Rag". Have you ever heard of it? He was a professional musician in the thirties by the name of Vivian Tillotson. I had a copy of it, red cover, but loaned it to a rag piano player and never got it back. I would appreciate any information you might have.Thanks.

When I figure out what I need to do, I will download some of your MIDI files. Good luck with your endeavor. I plan to stop back again. Thanks, M.

Cama across your site by chance. I've known about Midi for years but have never really been into it. I am looking for data and technology related in order to get Frankie (my Railroad Computer built entirely from spare and scrap parts) to operate wav files from an external source trigger. The sound card has Midi capability and so the hunt began for " how-to " data. I clicked on your site because of the music connection and the fact that I like Joplin also. Great site. I took the liberty of downloading your archive for use when the Railway has an Open House!! People @ work would really get a kick out of that. Thank you. ......and yes....I bookmarked your address.

Very nice MIDI page! Is your collection in the public domain? I ask, because I want to use some of the Scott Joplin MIDIs in corporate sites I'm building. (I always include an e-mail link back to the creator of the work when they release it to the public domain. Or in Scott Joplin's case, an e-mail link back to you. That's because Scott Joplin is dead, and can't check his e-mail, you know.)

Enjoying your hard work on the MIDI's of Joplin. You should include a text file in the Zipped file to identify the songs to their limited 8 letter prefix. Kindly E-mail me when you make any additions to your collection. Thanks.
