As you can see, I’ve had a number of people sign my guestbook since I first put it up in 1995.
1579 entries.
Just wanted to tell you that I'm trying to learn some joplin on guitar and yours was by far the best site. It was a one- stop shop and I appreciate you.
One of the top ten.
Please include "The Entertainer" if you don't have it already. I am happy that somone has recorded Scott Joplin's works.
.
Sorry for the incomplete entry before, I'm still getting used to the keyboard on my new 'puter and for some reason "enter" gets in the way when I try to "shift" with my right hand. The site is a worthwhile endeavor on your part. Very fine work. I was led here by a link from Eutychus@aol.com
I love Rag Time!
I'm glad to find your site. I'm a native Missourian so am quite familiar with Sedalia, but confess wasn't that much up on Scott Joplin until I saw "The Sting." Have been a ragtime fan ever since and count Molly Kaufmann (a great ivory tickler in her own right) and a very good friend. I certainly enjoy your MIDI files. Keep up the good work.
I'll be at West Coast Ragtime Festival. I saved Peacherine. It was the first rag I heard in modern context on a classic music FM station. It reminded me of the music I'd heard long ago and forgoten.
please come to my7-11 to try my new grape squishie thank you come again
I love ragtime!
thanks you very much merci beaucoup

I enjoyed the page even though i couldn't here anything because the computers at school won't allow us to do that. and my computer at home doesn't even have a modem so i don't have internet access at home. but i am a big Scott Joplin fan so i really enjoyed it anyway.
Great work of preserving the REAL classics, Jeff. Congrats.
I think your page is wonderful indeed there in not a thing that I can add to it love the tunes thanks for having us as your guest thanks Peter Buckley.
Please include the Peacherine Rag and Easy Winners! It was nice to compose an e-mail message to my daughter and listen to the Sunflower Slow Drag as I typed! Keep up the good work!
Great website keep up the good work.
I've been a Scott Joplin fan ever since I first saw the Sting and play almost all of his published rags. I've even been to the Scott Joplin Festival in Sedilia Mo. And I've used a sequencing program to make my own midi files of his music. Glad to see someone else is doing the same and making it available on the net. Love James Scott's music as well.
1st time here Mr Joplin spent some time in our fair city. About every two years on so we still have a ragtime festival
Great collection, Jeff! Just love Scott Joplin...all of it.
Scott Joplin created some of my favorite music of all time! I tried to open the Maple Leaf Rag file, but it keeps stopping and it just won't load all the way. Any suggestions? Thanks. 🙂 Stacie
I think your page on Scott Joplin is smart.
Thanks! Nice to visit.

Very interesting and well done site. I am a theatre publicist and have several productions coming up soon. Good luck, Harriet
Liked your page and will come back to it. I got to it looking for information on my uncle's composition "Danger Rag". Have you ever heard of it? He was a professional musician in the thirties by the name of Vivian Tillotson. I had a copy of it, red cover, but loaned it to a rag piano player and never got it back. I would appreciate any information you might have.Thanks.

I like Scott Joplin's Ragtime Songs. You might want to try to get "Maple Leaf Rag" and "The Entertainer". These two songs are my favorite songs by Scott Joplin.
.
It's time I went to bed, but tomorrow I will try to download one or more of your works. I've really enjoyed listening to the background music and want to hear lots more. I have a huge music collection much of it ragtime which is really special for me. check you later. Thanks for the treat and I'll be back. Regards Don

Joplin's the best! I'm learning his songs on the piano.
Thanks very much. I've just rediscovered Scott Joplin and it's been really useful to come to a site that has enabled me to download so many of his tunes (assuming the download worked OK, that is). David Love

I enjoy Boogie Woogie, Stride Piano, and Ragtime, among other music forms. I was looking for something on Scott Joplin, played by Scott Kirby, and was not having any luck, when I stumbled upon your website. When I figure out what I need to do, I will download some of your MIDI files. Good luck with your endeavor. I plan to stop back again. Thanks, M.
Just arrived from Ragtimers home page which I found listed in the American Rag. This looks great. Keep up the good work.

I,m a great fan of Joplins music thanks for what promises to be an interesting visit
best web page on the internet!!!!!!!!
Cama across your site by chance. I've known about Midi for years but have never really been into it. I am looking for data and technology related in order to get Frankie (my Railroad Computer built entirely from spare and scrap parts) to operate wav files from an external source trigger. The sound card has Midi capability and so the hunt began for " how-to " data. I clicked on your site because of the music connection and the fact that I like Joplin also. Great site. I took the liberty of downloading your archive for use when the Railway has an Open House!! People @ work would really get a kick out of that. Thank you. ......and yes....I bookmarked your address.
support macs with downloads a great many musicians are mac users i can't unzip your files great page though

I think that this is the best page that I have ever seen. You definetly know what you are doing. Scott Joplin is a god. You have done an amazing job. You are my #1 bookmark.
Nice composer, first enconter with ragtime. Will peek in from time to time to see if there's more ! Greeting from holland Theo
I just came back to get about 10 more rags. That just about completes the collection. Now that I have a jukebox working, it makes sense to have a complete collection from your site.
Keep up a good work!!!

I thoroughly enjoy your music for housrs at a time as I use my computer . Thank you.
I accessed this web page by looking on my piano teachers web site. (http://geocities.com/nashville/3581) She has a list of different sites with midi accompniments and I was looking for an accompniment for the mapple leaf rag. Are you a piano teacher.

Very nice MIDI page! Is your collection in the public domain? I ask, because I want to use some of the Scott Joplin MIDIs in corporate sites I'm building. (I always include an e-mail link back to the creator of the work when they release it to the public domain. Or in Scott Joplin's case, an e-mail link back to you. That's because Scott Joplin is dead, and can't check his e-mail, you know.)
Enjoying your hard work on the MIDI's of Joplin. You should include a text file in the Zipped file to identify the songs to their limited 8 letter prefix. Kindly E-mail me when you make any additions to your collection. Thanks.
